The place is HUDGE.  A long bench ridge and 3 big bowls.  Bowls 1 and 2 are new terrain while bowl 3 holds what is now the "illegal" 12th street jumps which will be reworked and cleaned up for the uber gnar super radnasty expert jump zone.  The city is full force behind this and wants a world class venue.  They are willing to lend heavy equipment, material and operators for said equipment as well as engineering help and seemingly anything that is needed.

Ogden Freeride Park...first look!

9th street entrance on the north end of the park looking east and uphill to the BST.  The paved road will be used as a return to the start zone for the first flow trail.

Just a bit further uphill looking south towards the 1st bowl.  This is the likely start zone for the 1st trail.

Boulders in the start zone area.

Looking down into the 1st bowl, site of proposed skills park.

Crew overwhelmed with the potential.  Proposed 1250 extension parking area.

1st bowl

2nd bowl, just south of the 1st bowl, proposed intermediate level dirt jumps area.

Looking north from the ridge between bowl 1 and 2 into bowl 1.

Stay tuned...Ogden wants something rideable by mid October and is willing to lend it's muscle to get it done.

Nice work.

On a side note I'm in need of athletes to shoot in the Ogden area.  Shoot me an email if you or anyone you know wants to get some work done.

So on another mountain bike forum, I had expressed my displeasure about the lack of updates here and on the core website.  So for any of you who feel like I did, allow me to help.

http://www.facebook.com/wafta
Allows you to follow WAFTA on Facebook and get alerts on trail days and other things.

And I've noticed several of the people involved in WAFTA post here:
http://forums.mtbr.com/forumdisplay.php?f=81
In the Utah section of the MTBR forums.  Including user www.waftautah.com.

So since this forum is a complete ghost town, if you want some information check those areas out.  It will keep you from getting all angry about the lack of updates here!

zoso - things have been a bit quiet but WAFTA is gaining momentum for 2010! Several members are working on a sponsored showing of Anthill Films' new movie "Follow Me" at Brewvies in April. I imagine the top dawgs will be getting in touch with all members very soon about a general meeting and upcoming dig days in Draper. Stay in touch!

Haven't heard a thing for a while about what WAFTA is doing this summer (2010) AND about the T-shirt.

Judging how long ago the last post was, am I wasting my time here?

Answer or face consumer protection services for being a phony charity.  (kidding, but seriously, what's happening?)

Hi, I'm new to the forum and live in Kaysville.  The wilderness Park next to the animal shelter would be a great area for a freeride trail.  How do you go about working with city officials to get permission and direction for a legitimate trail?
Thanks,
Jerome

Hey I might be moving and selling my house by the Eagle Mountain Bike Park. It's a beautiful property that runs from the front road (Castle Cary Circle) to the back road, Golden Eagle. House has 4 finished bedrooms and bathroom upstairs, a common area, Master Ensuite downstairs, large kitchen and family room with island and two sinks.

You must ride 20 feet literally in you're in the park. .46 acres. Greg at 801-367-6955 or professionaladvantage@yahoo.com
