Hi, I've been looking through the various forum posts and I haven't found any recent info regarding the Eagle Mountain Project. I think the latest post I saw referred to a Daily Herald article in March this year. Any word?

There is new news on the Eagle Mountain Bike park. We, after a long hard wait, have finally received final clearance for construction. Dump trucks should roll next week Oct. 22. We are getting 60-70 loads for the jumps, berms, pump track, and screening mounds. The dirt will get pushed close to where it needs to be with bobcats and backhoe, but we need lots of help with the shaping. Keep an eye out for updates. but we should be getting started on the 25th Saturday morning.

I was up there before the snow started falling in November and it looks like it is coming along well. The pump track is shaped, there are a bunch of ladders in place with all kinds of features all over the hillside. I am pumped for this place to open as it is only five minutes from my house...

We're planning on starting the first two monthly WAFTA dig days out there, and starting early (March and April) since it opens up sooner than the higher elevation stuff....  so the once per month days will be organized from March to October for 2009.  The general plan is to have this place 100% complete by July 1. It is looking sweet, for sure!

The Bike Park continues to be a work in progress. This saturday April 11th we will be digging in again at 9:00am. We will try to finish off the slope style trail, install decking on a bridge or two, and smooth the beginner trail.
The jump line and the pump track are in good shape but there is still a bunch of ladders and trials features to get done in the skills area and on trails. The hope is that we can get the bulk it done by the end of May for A big opening. We will be on it every Saturday until then (and an occasional mid week evening) Come if you can.

Went out today for a bit to do some ladder and trail work.  Gotta give it to all the people involved and all the hard work they've done.  Will be a lot of fun when ready.

Go out and help so you have pride when you ride it. Grin

We will be working on the park Saturday morning at 9:00. This week should be perfect conditions with the moisture in the dirt and the cool weather.

We will be working on the park every Saturday morning at 9:00 until it's done before the grand opening on May 30th. This week should be perfect conditions with the moisture in the dirt and the cool weather.

Fixed it for you!
